LingoLoco started as a party game: everyone fills in the same blank and scores by matching what the others wrote. Then it grew the part other language apps skip — once the answer is revealed, it explains why that word was the word, in whichever of seven teaching styles works for you. Around the game sit labs for grammar, writing and recall, decks you can write and share with a code, duels for two friends across time zones, and Pen Pals, where friends text each other in the language they're learning with a tutor built into the chat.
